Cancellations & Refunds
One refund policy for every purchase on Qynko: when buyers are refunded, how refunds are requested and paid, and what a refund means for the creator.
Overview
This policy applies to every purchase made from a creator's storefront on Qynko. It is set by Qynko and applies to all creators. If a creator's own storefront policy says something different, this policy applies. A creator may still choose to refund a buyer in a case this policy does not require.
The creator is the seller of each service. Qynko collects payments for creators, applies this policy, and handles refunds that are escalated to it.
When a Buyer Is Refunded
A 1:1 session or webinar booked through a bundle follows the Bundle row, not the 1:1 session or webinar row.
| Service | Refunded when | Not refunded when |
|---|---|---|
| 1:1 session | The creator cancels the session (the creator refunds the buyer in full when cancelling). The creator does not hold the session and the buyer asks for a refund. The buyer cancels at least 24 hours before the session starts. | The session is held. The buyer cancels less than 24 hours before the session, or does not join a session the creator attends. |
| Webinar or live event | The host cancels (the host refunds every registered buyer in full when cancelling). The host does not show up and the buyer asks for a refund. The host joins more than 15 minutes late and the buyer asks within 24 hours of the scheduled end. | The buyer does not attend. |
| Video course | The buyer asks within 3 days of purchase and has not opened any lesson or content. | More than 3 days have passed, or any lesson or content has been opened. |
| Digital product | The buyer asks within 3 days of purchase and has not downloaded or opened it. | More than 3 days have passed, or the product has been downloaded or opened. |
| Paid community | The buyer asks within 3 days of their latest payment and has not entered the community or used its links (such as a Telegram invite) during that paid period. | More than 3 days have passed since the latest payment, the community has been accessed in that period, or the request is for an earlier payment. |
| Bundle | Only in the cases under Always Refunded, such as a payment that was taken but did not complete the buyer's purchase. | Any other case, including a change of mind after buying or renewing, a service the creator removes from the bundle, or a 1:1 session or webinar booked through the bundle that the creator cancels, does not show up for or joins more than 15 minutes late. If the creator cancels a 1:1 session booked through the bundle, the buyer can book it again through the bundle while their access lasts. |
Always Refunded
Whatever the table above says, the buyer receives a full refund when any of the following applies, except for a 1:1 session or webinar booked through a bundle, which follows the Bundle row:
- the service was not delivered, or is materially different from its description;
- the creator cancels a session or event the buyer paid for on its own, or does not show up for it;
- the creator removes a course, product or community the buyer paid for on its own, or removes a substantial part of a course, including content its listing specifically advertised, so that it no longer matches what was sold, and access is not restored (the buyer is refunded for the access they lose);
- a payment was captured but the purchase was not completed, or the buyer was charged twice; or
- Qynko cancels a purchase for any reason other than the buyer's own fraud or serious breach of Qynko's Terms & Conditions — for example, the creator's fraud or breach.
1:1 Sessions
- A creator who cancels a paid session cancels and refunds it in one step: the buyer is refunded in full to their original payment method at once, unless the session was booked through a bundle. The creator earns nothing for that booking.
- If the creator does not hold the session (does not join), it is not refunded automatically. The buyer asks for a refund through a support ticket and is refunded in full, unless the session was booked through a bundle. The creator can also refund the booking without waiting for a request.
- A buyer who wants to cancel asks through a support ticket. A request made at least 24 hours before the session starts is eligible for a full refund.
- A cancellation made less than 24 hours before the session is not eligible, and a buyer who does not join a session the creator attends is not refunded.
- A session that is held is not refunded, except under Always Refunded.
Webinars and Live Events
- A host who cancels a paid webinar cancels and refunds it in one step: every registered buyer is refunded in full to their original payment method at once, except a buyer who registered through a bundle.
- If the host does not show up, buyers are not refunded automatically. A registered buyer asks for a refund through a support ticket and is refunded in full, except a buyer who registered through a bundle. The host refunds the registration from that ticket.
- If the host joins more than 15 minutes late, a registered buyer can ask for a full refund through a support ticket within 24 hours of the scheduled end, except a buyer who registered through a bundle.
- A buyer who does not attend is not refunded.
- If the host moves the webinar to a new date or time, every registered buyer is emailed the new schedule and their registration stays valid. There is no automatic refund; a buyer who cannot attend the new time can ask through a support ticket.
- If the host changes the webinar's price after you register, including making a paid webinar free or a free one paid, what you paid and your registration stay as they were. The new price applies to new buyers only, and there is no automatic refund.
- A buyer who joins a recurring series after it has started gets only the sessions still on sale when they buy. Sessions held before the purchase are not included, are not refunded, and have no replay.
Courses, Digital Products and Communities
- A refund request must be made within 3 days of the purchase, or for a community, within 3 days of the latest payment.
- A purchase that has been accessed (a lesson or content opened, a product downloaded or opened, or a community entered or its invite link used) is not refundable, except under Always Refunded. Qynko and the creator may check the information available, such as course progress, to confirm this.
- For communities, only the latest payment can be refunded. Earlier paid periods are not refunded, and there are no refunds for the remaining part of a paid period.
- Cancelling autopay on a community or bundle stops future charges; it does not refund the period already paid for, which the buyer keeps until it ends. An autopay renewal is refunded on the same terms as the payment it renews.
- Editing, replacing, reordering or removing individual lessons in a course the buyer still has access to is not a reason for a refund, unless it falls under Always Refunded.
How Refunds Are Requested
- No automatic refunds: Qynko never refunds a purchase automatically. Every refund is made by a person: the creator, or Qynko's team. A 1:1 session or webinar booked through a bundle is not refunded on its own (see Bundle in the table above).
- Creator cancellations: A creator who cancels a paid 1:1 session or webinar uses Cancel and refund, which refunds every buyer in full at once. The buyer does not need to ask.
- Payment problems: If a payment was taken but the purchase could not be completed (for example, the last seat sold out or the price changed during checkout), or the buyer was charged twice, Qynko's team reviews the payment and refunds it. The buyer or creator can write to support@qynko.com with the payment details.
- Refund requests: For every other refund, including a creator who did not show up for a 1:1 session or webinar, the buyer raises a Refund / cancellation ticket to the creator from Help & Support on the creator's page, choosing the order and giving the reason, and gets the ticket number by email straight away. The creator approves or declines it under this policy. A creator can also refund a 1:1 booking from its page without waiting for a ticket; every other order is refunded from the buyer's ticket.
- Escalation to Qynko: A creator who has not responded within 3 days is reminded. After 7 days without a response, the request goes to Qynko support automatically, and Qynko support may ask the buyer for more detail in the same ticket and then approves or declines the refund on the creator's behalf. If the buyer disagrees with the creator's decision, the buyer can also escalate it to Qynko at any time by writing to support@qynko.com with the order ID. Qynko decides escalated requests under this policy.
How Refunds Are Paid
- When a creator cancels and refunds a paid 1:1 session or webinar, every buyer is refunded in full to their original payment method (UPI, card or net banking) at once. If one has not arrived within 7 working days, the buyer can write to support@qynko.com.
- Refunds approved on request, and refunds a creator makes on an order, are paid in full to the original payment method (UPI, card or net banking). Once a refund is approved, the buyer's access to what they bought ends. A refunded bundle ends with everything in it, including what the buyer claimed or joined through it and any 1:1 session or webinar booked through it that has not happened yet.
- A failed purchase, where the payment was captured but the purchase was not completed, or a payment taken twice, is not refunded automatically. Qynko's team reviews it and refunds it in full to the original payment method. The buyer can write to support@qynko.com to ask about it.
- Once a refund is approved, Qynko starts it promptly. Banks usually credit it within 5–7 working days, and some take up to 10.
- Payments older than 6 months cannot be refunded through the payment gateway. Qynko refunds them by bank transfer instead.
Who Pays for a Refund
The buyer always receives the full amount. What the refund means for the creator depends on its cause:
| Cause of the refund | Buyer receives | Creator's earnings | Qynko commission and its GST | Payment processing charge |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Creator cancellation, no-show, removed listing, non-delivery, or goodwill refund | 100% | Reversed | Returned to the creator | Borne by the creator |
| Buyer cancels a 1:1 session at least 24 hours ahead | 100% | Reversed | Returned to the creator | Borne by the creator |
| Buyer request within 3 days on an unaccessed course, product or community | 100% | Reversed | Returned to the creator | Borne by the creator |
| Payment taken but the purchase could not be completed | 100% | None, as there was no sale | None, as there was no sale | Borne by Qynko |
Refunds and the Creator's Balance
- A buyer's right to a refund does not depend on whether the creator has already withdrawn the money. That only affects when an approved refund is issued, as set out below.
- A refund the creator approves or makes on an order, or Qynko support approves on an escalated request, is issued once the creator's balance covers what it takes from them. Until then the request stays open, and the money it needs cannot be withdrawn.
- Refunds a creator makes by cancelling a paid 1:1 session or webinar always go through at once. If the creator's balance does not cover the payment processing charge, the rest is owed and taken from the creator's next earnings, as set out in the creator Terms & Conditions.
Creators Who Cancel Repeatedly
Creators who cancel sessions or events repeatedly may have their bookings restricted or their account reviewed, to protect buyers. If a cancellation was caused by illness, an outage or another event beyond the creator's control, contact support@qynko.com.
Qynko Plan Fees
This policy covers purchases from creators. Fees creators pay Qynko for a paid plan, the Scale plan included, are not refundable, except where we charged in error or where the law requires a refund.
If you pay upfront to start or renew a plan, with a coupon or within the 7-day grace period after your plan ends, and we cannot confirm that payment, the plan does not start. If you were charged, our team reviews the payment and refunds it in full to your original payment method; you can write to support@qynko.com about it. A charge on a plan you have already replaced (for example after moving to a new Scale offer) is also refunded in full after our team reviews it.
The custom domain fee (₹16,999 a year, plus GST) is refunded in full if we cannot connect your domain. Once your domain is live, the fee for that year is not refundable, and a renewal is not refundable once paid, unless the request was already closed or switched off by us when the payment arrived, in which case our team refunds it in full.
Managed Ads: your payment is refunded in full if you cancel before our kickoff call with you. Once setup work starts, the setup fee is not refundable. A month of Managed Ads is refunded in full if we do not launch your ads within 10 business days of having both your approval and the access we need; we usually launch sooner, and the clock pauses while we wait on you or on a platform's review. A month is not refunded when ads did not run because you did not give access or approval in time. If an ad platform blocks your ads or account before any ad has run that month, we hold the month for up to 60 days instead, and refund it only where our own ad caused the block and no ad can run within those 60 days, as set out in the Terms under Managed Ads. Once ads have run in a month, that month is not refundable.
Own App: your payment is refunded in full if you cancel before our kickoff call with you. After that, the Own App fee is not refundable, except that it is refunded in full if your app cannot be published because of something on our side after up to 3 submissions, as set out in the Terms under Own App. A yearly Own App updates renewal is not refundable once paid.
